Lopers Clinic Registration
August 14, 2016, 6:30 am - 9:00 am
The Lopers Club is pleased to announce Opening Day of the 2016-17 Fitness, Marathon, and Half-Marathon Training Clinic on August 14 beginning at 6:30 a.m. This year The Lopers Club is celebrating its 40th anniversary, and our theme this year is “40 Years and Running.” This event will be held at Drayson Center (25040 Stewart St., Loma Linda).
Member Benefits: Benefits of being a Loper include training, motivation, and instruction to finish your first marathon or half marathon. Also, you will improve your race times or improve your fitness and quality of life through running or walking. You will train with others at your pace with guidance from an experienced pace leader and enjoy social activities, save with discounts, and wear your included club tech shirt with pride.
Registration: You can register when we meet at Drayson Center beginning August 14, or save time by registering ahead of time (and not stand in line) on our website at www.lopersclub.org (no online registration fee is charged). During registration, you will also receive your Loper tech shirt and membership tag. The registration fee is the same as last year: $100-Individual, $150-Family (two adults at the same address), $25-Child (under 18 with an adult also registered; shirt not included), and $75-Student (must show current college/university ID).
Orientation: The Lopers Club is happy to announce Judy Remele and Kristy Loufek are returning to serve as Clinic Directors. After you register, you will participate in a short orientation (about 15 minutes) conducted by them. You will learn more about the Loper Clinic and what to expect in subsequent weeks.
Timed Mile: After the orientation, you will run/walk one mile at a comfortable pace for you on the Drayson track to determine what Pace Group you will be in beginning the following week. These groups are divided by pace and ability and are led by an experienced Pace Leader who will help guide you at your pace to achieve your goals. From the 7-minute to the 17-minute pace group, no Loper is left behind!
We look forward to seeing you as we celebrate our 40th run-niversary year!
Welcome to the Pack!
