and future construction sites, and provide a better route for longer
distances. Click here for

Membership includes Use of pool, weight room, aerobic classes, etc. You can do your cross training at the gym! Check at the Loper desk on Sunday morning to sign up. This offer is good through the Loper’s only, and is valid for Riverside as well as Loma Linda members. The Lopers Club now has a chapter in Riverside, California as well as Loma Linda. The Riverside Chapter meets at 6:30 AM on Sunday mornings at the California Citrus State Park, at 9400 Dufferin Avenue (at the corner of Van Buren), in Riverside (see MapQuest map). Parking is available at the dirt lot on Dufferin Avenue across the street from the park slightly to the north of the main entrance. Enter the park through the gate across the street from the parking lot. (The main entrance is normally closed when we meet.)
The Riverside Chapter is conducting the Marathon clinic in parallel with that in Loma Linda (see below), with the same program and training schedule. We have programs for both Marathon and Half Marathon training, and also for those who would like to train just for fitness or shorter races. The Clinic in Riverside is well underway, and will continue each Sunday through the Los Angeles Marathon in March. After that, our meetings will be more informal, but we continue to meet and train together on Sunday mornings, and there will be people there to train with and help you with your training program. Click here for additional information about the ongoing Marathon Clinic. You are welcome to join us in Riverside at any time!
Click here for maps of the marathon training route for the Riverside chapter, which is the same as that used last year.
The Lopers club was founded in Loma Linda, California, and continues to have a successful program there. The Loma Linda Chapter meets at 6:30 AM on Sundays at Drayson Center, on the campus of the Loma Linda University.
The Loma Linda Chapter is conducting the Marathon Clinic in parallel with that in Riverside (see above), with the same program and training schedule through February 14. We have programs for both Marathon and Half Marathon training, and also for those who would like to train just for fitness or shorter races. The Clinic in Loma Linda is well underway, and will continue each Sunday until after the Surf City Marathon in February. After that, our meetings will be more informal, but we continue to meet and train together on Sunday mornings, and there will be people there to train with and help you with your training program. Click here for additional information about the ongoing Marathon Clinic. You are welcome to join us in Loma Linda at any time!

The Team Lopers Speed Group meets at the Drayson Center track every Tuesday evening at 6:30 PM. This is open to Riverside as well as Loma Linda members. The Lopers wish to thank Russ Barber for leading this group. Russ can be contacted by email at marathoner26.2@sbcglobal.net or by phone at (909) 825-7566. This group is for experienced runners of any speed who want to improve their running times. (If the gate to the track is locked, you can use your Lopers ID to enter the field through the building.) The Lopers Club has something to offer everyone interested in improving their fitness through walking, jogging, or running. From the slowest beginning walker to the fastest experienced runners, we provide training geared to all fitness levels. We meet each Sunday morning at 6:30 at the Drayson Center on the campus of Loma Linda University or at the California Citrus State Park, at 9400 Dufferin Avenue (at the corner of Van Buren), in Riverside (see MapQuest map).
The Lopers Club is one of the largest running and fitness club in Southern California, with over 700 members.
One of the main activities of the Lopers' Club is to train walkers, runners, or joggers to complete their first full 26.2 mile marathon or 13.1 mile half marathon each year. Nearly 100% of the Lopers who enter our training Marathon or Half Marathon finish it! See our clinic announcement page for more information.
We also offer our members the opportunity to train with our Lopers speed group, which meets at the Drayson Center Tuesday night as indicated above. The Lopers speed group is for veteran runners who wish to improve their running speed.
